I've just updated the software that drives the site. Despite the lack of posts, things are churning under the covers at Dreamland Blues!

In other news... I have several photo galleries from shows over the summer that I am preparing to post. Stay tuned!

One of the great features of Live365 is GEO stats. This gives me a view into the geographic location of my listeners on a country-by-country basis. The results are surprising.

The top two entries are no big surprise:

1) United Stats
2) Canada

But here is where things start to get interesting:

I receive submissions for airplay consideration a few times a week. I do listen to all of them but the vast majority don't tickle that part of my brain that flags tracks for play on Dreamland Blues.

The one is different.

You know that image we all have of record executives; overweight, balding, cigar smoking, weasely guys in shiny suits and $1,200 shoes that are more con-artist than 'executive', well... It's wrong.

None of the record execs I have met smoke cigars.

I'm searching for a new graphical design for the site. This is one of many themes available for use with Drupal, the content management system I have chosen for use on the new site.

Dreamland Blues Radio lives!

After a way-too long hiatus, the DLB Radio web site is rising from the ashes of the former server. That trusty old Compaq machine let out a final gasp and released the 'magic blue smoke'.

That was about 9 months ago...

Please pardon our dust as I patch things back together with a renewed energy for sharing the Blues with you!
